Who's in the Pen
Right now we have the barn open to the whole herd, so viewers will get the chance to meet all of the Rancho-Snowfall Ladies and get a peek at their "baby bellies". Once one of our February expectant Moms looks like she is getting close we will turn this barn into a private maternity pen. For now all of the does are free to move in and out of the view of the camera as they choose.
You may also see Annie, our Anatolian Shepherd guard dog, on the camera. Annie keeps a watchful eye over her goats and keeps them safe from all predators. The first to kid should be Bellini , a French Alpine doe, who was born live on the Kidding Cam last year. Bellini was pen bred so we do not have an exact due date on her, but we are thinking mid-February. With the due date unknown the start of the 2012 Rancho-Snowfall Kidding Season will be a surprise for everyone, so stay tuned!
