Continuing A Tradition of Excellence

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Rose and Leon Snow for their contribution to the dairy goat industry. The lovely animals that came from their breeding program and their willingness to share knowledge has been very influential on my herd. In the summer of 2005, after a 25 year endeavor, Rose entrusted me with the Rancho-Snowfall name. I will strive to continue to produce the high quality of animals that has become synonymous with Rancho-Snowfall.

In the spring of two thousand and eight I will be graduating with a degree in Animal Sciences and preparing for Veterinary school next fall. The does have all moved to their new home and are under the care and management of our close friends, the Knoblauch family. I wish to extend a huge thank you to Jenny, Amy and Christine for taking care of my herd while I am at college.

This was an exciting year finishing Liana’s championship and having her place at the national show. We also were very fortunate and placed near the top of every alpine class we showed in this year, usually taking first. We will once again be appraising in the summer, having the does on DHIA, and using artificial insemination as a key tool in improvement. All the kids will be raised on a CAE prevention program and tested yearly.
